Jova Solutions today announced the installation of FermWorks automation software in the process development labs at ZeaChem, Inc. ZeaChem is pioneering biorefinery technology for the conversion of cellulosic biomass to ethanol using combinations of biochemical and thermochemical processing steps.
FermWorks, Jova Solutions’ flagship automation solution for fermentation and cell culture labs, captures all data from reactor controllers, integrates additional signals and offline analysis, and lets ZeaChem execute control algorithms that are more sophisticated than those offered by the basic bioreactor hardware. FermWorks is also ready to accommodate ZeaChem's expansion to more and larger reactors and other instruments across a larger development facility.
