LabVIEW Developers

Our LabVIEW developers are an integral part of the Software Services Team and instrumental in creating VI based solutions for our products and clients. Software Engineers work in small product or project focused teams and are involved in all aspects of the development cycle.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics or Chemistry.
Strong knowledge of the G programming language (LabVIEW).
Experience with the software product development cycle desirable.
Biotech industry experience, web applications and network experience is also desirable.

Web Applications Developer
Jova Solutions is currently accepting resumes from individuals who are interested in web applications development using LabVIEW. The web applications developer works with UI designers and core engineers, and is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of web-based applications.
Responsibilities include:
Code and design major Web applications and create necessary underlying data structures.
Develop implementation design documents for Web applications based upon functionality design documents.
Desirable attributes for this position:
Must be able to work with a diverse group of professionals including core application engineers and architects.
Must have good documentation skills and skills/willingness to keep applications and servers organized.
Must have a customer-centric attitude towards end users and stakeholders in the Web applications.
Qualifications required:
2+ years experience with Web applications design and implementation.
2+ years of HTML experience.
Experience with Java .
Familiarity with modern web application tools such as XML, SOAP etc.
Must have an understanding of operational issues (security, monitoring, serviceability) and be able to build applications that take them into consideration.

Test Engineer
We are currently accepting resumes from persons with with strong LabVIEW skills and a background in telecom equipment manufacturing and testing. Our Test Engineers must have the ability to work in test automation and to use LabVIEW to interface with TestStand. Long-term, we are looking for people to work in product development across several industries.
Desirable attributes for this position include:
Knowledge of basic electronics.
Knowledge of basic telecom system principles.
Basic knowledge of DMM, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, optical power meter, optical BERT testers, operating principles and ability to write drivers for same or enhance existing drivers.
Ability to document code.
Interimageste/Advanced Excel hacking.
Self motivating, with knowledge of when to ask for assistance if needed.
Familiarity with the art of scaling up a family of functional tests and still keep the collection of code maintainable and functional.
Qualifications required:
Ability to write LabVIEW programs with decent, well organized diagrams.
Knowledge of good general application structures and techniques.
2+ years experience with TestStand.
Understanding of microprocessor based circuit card architectures.
Ability to read and understand (at a functional level) board schematics and system diagrams.
Ability to learn how individual features within board architectures function, including basic microprocessor architectures.
Ability to learn new programs and concepts quickly.
Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.
Ability to write reasonably simple instrument drivers.
Ability to deal with a source-code control system.

SQL Server Database Expert (Contract position)

The individual must have experience designing databases, dealing with security issues related to SQL Server, and maintaining a system of replicated databases across a network.
